She held the microphone up to your lips to share a simple message. “We just love each other so much,” she said. “Thank you for being here.” Everyone sitting in the room and watching virtually felt the joy at this intimate fall wedding.
Jesse and Jean-Luc first met when they were just kids, a couple of fifteen-year-olds stirring up trouble with their friends. Now, those same friends stood by their sides as they came together with their families. The sun was out, the sheep roamed the farm, and these two were finally getting married at this beautiful vineyard!
As a wedding photographer in the Virginia, DC, and Maryland area, one of my favorite things about fall weddings is the colors. These wedding florals flashed maroon, dusty orange, and blush tones, and were complimented by the autumn foliage and a crisp breeze. What stood out to me the most on this wedding day, though, was just how much love surrounded Jesse and Jean-Luc! Their ceremony was intimate with their closest friends and family in attendance. Because of the pandemic, those who could not be there in person due to the small size of the celebration attended virtually, passed around on a laptop from guest to guest. The wedding party ensured those watching from home still got the best view and were part of the action.
Jesse and Jean-Luc, it was an absolute honor to capture your day. You reminded me how special the little moments with the people you love are. When you have to reschedule your wedding three times, I suppose those special moments become the only things that matter. I hope you feel these images capture you just as you are: joyful, fun, love filled, and ever beautiful.
