Rust Manor House Wedding | Leesburg, Virginia

“Guess the password. You’ll like it,” he said. The password was “prom.” Their first date was prom. These two high school sweethearts swore forever to each other at this Rust Manor House wedding. Caelyn and Nathan began their love story in high school, and continued it yesterday with their family and friends as they tied the knot. While it was a beautiful summer day and the rain missed us, it was the loving families and friends that struck me most about this wedding day. The bride’s parents personally greeting every guest at the reception. And, the groom’s whole wedding party included his best friends from high school who all remained close. As far as Virginia summer weddings go, this one was for the books. The thing is, as a wedding photographer, in addition to capturing the big picture, we like to capture the details.

A few of my favorite things at this Virginia wedding

The thing is, as a wedding photographer, in addition to capturing the big picture, we like to capture the details. Some of my favorite details from this wedding day include when the bride’s father accidentally walked in when we were capturing a couple of bridal portraits on the stairs. It was the most beautiful, spontaneous Father-daughter “first look” as he looked up at her from the bottom of the stairs. His eyes started welling up. So did hers. It was a special thing to see. My second favorite detail from this wedding day was Caelyn’s bridesmaids sneaking up and hiding in the bushes to view their First Look with each other. These girls were so vibrant and joyful. Their excitement for their friend on her wedding day was palpable, and a joy to witness.

Caelyn and Nathan, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness as you move on to this next chapter of your lives as a married couple. It has been my absolute pleasure to know and serve you! The Rust Manor House was a beautiful location to celebrate a memorable wedding day. Congratulations again!
