The Old Town Engagement Session
This morning was absolutely beautiful for this Old Town Alexandria engagement session. Morning sessions are always interesting just because we meet right after sunrise! Luckily daylight savings is only a matter of a few days away, so we started at 7am. The sun had just peaked up over the waterfront. It was a quiet morning.
I’m a huge fan of Old Town Alexandria because it’s actually where my husband, Thomas, and I were married! The charm of Old Town is difficult to beat. We explored the cobblestone streets, the historic townhomes, and walked down to the waterfront. As a town just outside of DC, most people from outside of Virginia may not be familiar with this place. But let me tell you, it’s magical!
Small coincidences
These two had me laughing this entire Old Town engagement session together. Fun fact: these beautiful people actually went to the same high school as my husband! Caelyn was one year behind him at school and they actually knew each other. We discovered this during our Zoom meeting. And, from that moment we felt like old friends. It’s such a small world! Caelyn kept me laughing with her witty, smart jokes, and Nathan swears he had fun during this session (which I will get in writing at some point). Caelyn and Nathan actually met all the way back in high school! It’s not so common when you meet couples that have met in high school and are getting married a decade or so later. I think it’s so sweet! I’m also a sucker for love stories, and these two have a special one.
Caelyn and Nathan have a beautiful wedding planned this summer at an estate in Virginia to celebrate with their family and friends. You two are adorable together and I am so excited to capture this small piece of your love story!
