Morning Cherry Blossom Views
This morning I was lucky enough capture these beautiful cherry blossom portraits on the Tidal Basin. That is, after I watched the sunrise in our nation’s capital. The cherry blossoms were almost in peak bloom! I couldn’t describe a more picturesque morning if I tried. The water was calm, the breeze light, and there was not a cloud in the sky. With the pandemic continuing through this year, we weren’t sure if the Tidal Basin would even be open! When the National Park Service announced the Tidal Basin would be open as long as crowds remained small, it still seemed unclear if these cherry blossom portraits could happen. I was looking out for news every day to see if the Tidal Basin would be closed off with fingers crossed. Molly said she always dreamed of having her portraits taken at the Tidal Basin when she was pregnant, so we definitely lucked out! After such a crazy year, it was definitely a victory. It feels so wonderful that we could capture these for her family and their future baby girl.
Growing their family
Molly and Tom will be expecting their little girl any time now! I can tell she is so loved already. With lots of dogs and a cat in the household to look after her as her first siblings, I can only imagine the number of kisses this little one will receive when she comes into the world. Molly and Tom, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such special portraits for your family! I hope they bring smiles to your faces for years to come. You both truly radiate joy, and I hope that is felt by everyone when they see these portraits. Cheers to you!

Wow these are SO PRETTY. The cherry blossoms are the perfect backdrop with their outfits and that morning sun is hitting JUST right. Great job!
