Beautiful Rainy Day Engagement Portraits

Let’s talk about the weather for a second. We worked hard for these engagement photos! The first time we scheduled our engagement session together, the weather forecast changed mid-week to severe storms with winds up to 50mph. Um, what? Needless to say, we opted to re-schedule. Then as I was walking around Bon Air Park to scope out the best spots, I heard a pitter pattering sound as the sun was peeking out. “That’s weird,” I thought to myself. “That sounds a lot like rain, but the sun is right there.” And sure enough, it was raining. Lucky for us, the rain only lasted about ten or fifteen minutes! Jenelle and Kevin were great sports, and down for anything. A little bit of rain wasn’t about to prevent us from having some fun and capturing special portraits celebrating these two. I’m so excited to share with you two these beautiful Arlington engagement portraits at Bon Air Park!

Jenelle and Kevin picked this special spot in Arlington for their engagement portraits, and let me tell you, there were blooms everywhere! I had a little too much caffeine before this session because at one point I think referred to this park as a world of flowers. As soon as it came out of my mouth, I realized how ridiculous it sounded. Lucky for me, Jenelle and Kevin are very kind people and didn’t judge me horrendously. It was so great to get to meet these two in person! Jenelle and Kevin are super fun and easy going people. I don’t say this about a lot of people, but Jenelle’s laugh is literally infectious. I cannot WAIT to celebrate you too next month on your wedding day!
