It was 5:00 p.m., just thirty minutes before the wedding reception was supposed to start. Cloth draping and fairy lights, meant to hang grandly from the ceiling for a fairytale atmosphere, lay in limp piles across the floor. What few strands had been elevated off the hardwood hung at waist height, leaving caterers crouching and crawling across the room, crab-walking the champagne flutes and hors d’oeuvres to their stations.
Erin took one look at this situation and wasted no time in putting things right. When the bride (yours truly) walked through the door at 5:30, the lights and draping had disappeared, but the reception venue looked magnificent, and the guests were welcomed exactly on time. Thank goodness she was there to take charge, and put my mind at ease – when I saw workers dragging armfuls of pink toile and strings of lights out into the street, I’ll admit I that I wondered, but I wasn’t worried.
Erin is now beginning her own wedding coordinating business, and when she does, I cannot recommend her enough! I really wanted to capture her personality and feel with these photos, and I love how her amazing personality shines through. She is someone with excellent taste, impressive levels of organization, an eye for style, and skilled in planning.
